Welcome friends,
Paradise Plus is back at home in
Buras, LA. We survived Hurricane Katrina! And so did the spectacular
fishing that thousands of our customers have come to love! We are fishing all of the same sweet spots from Empire
to Venice on both side of the Mississippi River and even a few new ones.
If you're
wondering about the Paradise Plus Lodge, it is completely restored
and better than ever! You can sleep, eat, and fish from the same
property
that we had used prior to Hurricane Katrina. We've added more sofas, bigger
TV, foosball table, and even a karaoke machine! We have updated the kitchen
and purchased new grills and seafood boiling equipment too. It is business
as usual from this point forward. We can sleep and fish up to twenty
four anglers
per day again.
While we are taking reservations for the upcoming season, please consider joining
us for another successful excursion in the saltwater marshes of Buras
and Venice. Not only our staff, but our entire community needs your support
during this time of recovery and rebuilding. Please let me know if you
have any questions or concerns about your next visit.
Sincerely,
Capt. Anthony Randazzo & Staff
Paradise
PLUS Guide Service is a sure bet for outdoor enthusiasts, from novice
to expert, seeking fun filled coastal Louisiana fishing and hunting charters.
Within one hour of downtown New Orleans awaits the very best of Louisiana's
saltwater marshes, bayous and bays for a fishing adventure sure to satisfy!
Fishing
Unlike most fishing destinations in North America, south
Louisiana offers superb fishing year round. Nutrient rich estuaries bordering
the Mississippi Delta feed the seemingly infinite populations of game
fish. Very liberal limits consisting of 5 redfish , 10 flounder, and 25
speckled trout per angler per day exist here. Redfish can be caught literally
every month of the year, while speckled trout are most common from March
thru December. A couple of flounder are boated each day, however, late
summer is prime for larger catches. Trophy speckled trout are common in
March, April, May, September, October and November. Bull Reds (those
ranging from 12 to 35 pounds, and occasionally larger) are most common from
February thru November, but can be encountered just about any month of the
year. You'll
stalk redfish and speckled trout in pristine shallow flats covered with
marsh grass, near oyster reefs, along cane lined shores, on the sandy
coastal beaches, next to granite boulder jetties, and around the many
near shore oil and gas platforms. Whatever you may envision, the Mississippi
Delta has it all!
Duck
Hunting
And if duck hunting is your passion, look no farther. Located
along the notorious Mississippi Delta Flyway, Venice is one of the most
sought after destinations in the country. A special two week teal season
in September followed by a duck and goose season from mid November until
mid January is perfectly coordinated for a Cajun Cast and Blast. This
combination consists of hunting in the early morning and fishing in the
afternoon. Many have said that this is the ultimate sportsman's adventure.
Please book early!
